The Sound of Music: Youth Edition brings to life the beloved true story of Maria, a fun-loving young woman sent from her convent to become the governess for the seven disciplined children of Captain von Trapp. Through the power of song, laughter, and genuine love, she brings music and joy back into their home—and into the Captain's heart—just as the shadows of World War II begin to fall over Austria. Beyond the iconic songs, the show carries a beautiful faith-filled message about trusting God when He leads you down unexpected paths. Maria’s story reminds us that following God's plan takes a little courage, a lot of faith, and an open heart, while the von Trapp family shows what it means to stand up for what is right when times get tough. It’s an inspiring, uplifting story about finding your true calling, the gift of family, and trusting that God is always guiding your steps.

Show Notes:

Rehearsals will be held on Fridays from 5:00pm--8:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00am-4:00pm. Rehearsals will be held at Building 28 Church, 25714 US Highway 19 N, Clearwater, FL 33763. Not all cast members will be called to all rehearsals and may only be called to a portion of the time listed. A callboard will be posted each week by 8:00am on Tuesday with the schedule and call times for that weekend.
